The following Privacy Policy describes the information and privacy practices for BaileyBearandCompany.com.  This Privacy Policy does not apply to other web sites that may be accessible through BaileyBearandCompany.com.  My site contains links to other web sites – mainly for reference.  I encourage you to read the privacy policies of those other sites to learn how they collect and use information about you.

To assist you with reading through my Privacy Policy, I have tried to provide answers to questions that you may find most important:


WHAT INFORMATION DOES BAILEY BEAR AND COMPANY COLLECT AND HOW IS THE INFORMATION USED?

What information is collected. My site collects personal information such as your contact information (name, e-mail address), billing/shipping information, credit card number( done securely!), shipping address. When submitting personal information on through a secure online form, I identify which fields are required in order to fulfill your request. Additionally, my Web server automatically collects information such as the address (or "URL") of the Web site that you came from before visiting our site, which pages you visit on our site, which browser you used to view our site and any search terms you have entered on our site.  Don’t worry…I keep this ALL TO MYSELF...I am beary greedy!!! 

When information is collected. While shopping on the Bailey Bear and Company website, I may ask that you provide certain information about yourself.  For example, I may request personal information when you order your favorite friend(s) online, or participate in other activities that may become available on our website. 

How the information is used. I use the information you provide in order to: 1) fulfill requests for your new friends or accessories and services such as travel requests; 2) when we provide our fabulous customer service; 3) send out cards on sales and/or promotions, 4) to offer new products (like the Spring or Fall introductions), or 6) other business purposes. I will ALWAYS honor your request to opt out of any sales or communications.  Please remember that if you do this…. you will no longer receive ANY information on new friends or if you order a new friend, you may not be made aware of his/her travel schedule!!  Talk about a surprise!!

DOES BAILEY BEAR AND COMPANY SHARE THE INFORMATION I'VE PROVIDED?

We may need to share personal information with third parties in limited circumstances. For example, I have to release personal information to third parties to: perform services on our behalf, fulfill our customer's orders, send marketing communications, deliver packages, send snail mail and email, or process credit card payments.

In some unfortunate instance, I may be required to provide personal information in response to a valid court order, subpoena, government investigation, or as otherwise required by law.  I also reserve the right to report to law enforcement agencies any activities that I, in good faith, believe to be unlawful. I may release certain personal information when I believe that such release is reasonably necessary to protect the rights, property, and safety of my beary good friends and ME. I may also release personal information in the event of a corporate sale, merger, reorganization, dissolution or similar event.  Don’t worry…I don’t plan to go anywhere…this is just the legal stuff!!


DO I HAVE CHOICES REGARDING HOW MY INFORMATION IS USED?

If your information is currently being used to send you marketing communications, you can opt-out at any time.  To opt-out of receiving marketing material or future communications from Bailey Bear and Company:

I will take reasonable steps to implement your request to opt out. (But good golly…look at what you would be missing out on!! ).  You will not receive any additional mailings or communication from us.  And of course, our beary good friends will not be very happy either!!


HOW CAN I UPDATE OR CHANGE MY INFORMATION?

I always want to have everything just so.  Therefore, I will always make my beary best effort to keep your information and preferences safe, accurate and complete. There are several different methods for you to update or change the information you give us.

I have security measures in place to protect against the loss, misuse, unauthorized access and alteration of the information under our control.

Safe Shopping Policy
Because your credit card security is a high priority, I have taken MANY steps to ensure that your payment information is processed confidentially, accurately and securely.  Bailey Bear and Company uses a website with an online processor which uses encryption technology, such as Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), to protect your credit card information during data transport. SSL encrypts ordering information such as your name, address, and credit card number. To access your order for processing and shipping, I am required to log into a secured site to access your online order.  At no time is your credit card information sent to me by means of email.

Some older browser versions and some firewalls don't permit communication through secure servers. In that case, you may be unable to securely sign in to your account or purchase products online. If this occurs, please call me directly at 1-877-848-5788 to place your order. If you submit billing information through the non-SSL enabled server, it will not be encrypted.

Choosing a Personal Password
When you create an online account to remember your shopping cart information at BaileyBearandCompany.com, you will need to select a personal password that you will remember.  To maximize your level of protection, you should choose a combination of both letters and numbers. You are solely responsible for maintaining the secrecy of your passwords or any account information. Our Webmaster is authorized to make any and all adjustments to the shopping cart.

Although I cannot guarantee against any loss, misuse, unauthorized disclosure, alteration or destruction of data, I do take reasonable precautions to prevent such unfortunate occurrences.  Bailey Bear and Company cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us by email and you do so at your own risk.


DOES BAILEY BEAR AND COMPANY COLLECT INFORMATION FROM CHILDREN?

NO WAY!!!  We and our bears are committed to protecting the privacy of children. We will not knowingly or intentionally collect personal information online from children under the age of 13.
